Privacy Policy

PRIVACY POLICY, Effective date: June 19, 2018

We are pleased that you are interested in our company. Data protection is of particular importance to the management of AFT microwave GmbH. In general, the websites of AFT microwave GmbH can be used without providing any personal data. However, if a data subject wishes to use special services offered by our company through our website, the processing of personal data may become necessary. If the processing of personal data is required and there is no legal basis for such processing, we generally obtain the consent of the data subject.

The processing of personal data, such as the name, address, email address, or telephone number of a data subject, is always carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and in compliance with the country-specific data protection regulations applicable to AFT microwave GmbH. Through this Privacy Policy, our company would like to inform the public about the nature, scope, and purpose of the personal data we collect, use, and process. This Privacy Policy also informs data subjects about the rights to which they are entitled.

As the controller responsible for processing, AFT microwave GmbH has implemented numerous technical and organizational measures to ensure the most complete protection possible for the personal data processed through this website. Nevertheless, internet-based data transmissions may generally have security vulnerabilities, so absolute protection cannot be guaranteed. For this reason, every data subject is free to provide personal data to us by alternative means, for example by telephone.

Relevant Legal Bases

In accordance with Article 13 GDPR, we inform you of the legal bases for our data processing. Unless the legal basis is specified in this Privacy Policy, the following applies: The legal basis for obtaining consent is Article 6(1)(a) and Article 7 GDPR. The legal basis for processing data to provide our services, carry out contractual measures, and respond to inquiries is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. The legal basis for processing data to comply with our legal obligations is Article 6(1)© GDPR. The legal basis for processing data to protect our legitimate interests is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. If vital interests of the data subject or another natural person require the processing of personal data, Article 6(1)(d) GDPR serves as the legal basis.

Changes and Updates to this Privacy Policy

We ask you to review the content of our Privacy Policy regularly. We update this Privacy Policy whenever changes to the data processing activities we carry out make this necessary. We will inform you if such changes require any action on your part, such as consent, or any other individual notification.

Security Measures

In accordance with Article 32 GDPR, and taking into account the state of the art, implementation costs, the nature, scope, circumstances, and purposes of the processing, as well as the varying likelihood and severity of the risk to the rights and freedoms of natural persons, we implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk. These measures include, in particular, safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data by controlling physical access to the data, as well as access, input, disclosure, availability, and separation of the data. We have also established procedures to ensure the exercise of data subject rights, the deletion of data, and a response to data risks. In addition, we take the protection of personal data into account when developing or selecting hardware, software, and procedures, in accordance with the principles of privacy by design and privacy by default under Article 25 GDPR. Our security measures include, in particular, the encrypted transmission of data between your browser and our server. All AFT employees are required to refer to the applicable data protection regulations when handling requests involving personal data and are bound accordingly.

Cooperation with Processors and Third Parties

If, in the course of our processing, we disclose data to other persons or companies, including processors or third parties, transfer data to them, or otherwise grant them access to the data, this is done only on the basis of legal permission, for example if the transfer of data to third parties, such as payment service providers, is necessary for the performance of a contract pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, if you have given your consent, if a legal obligation requires it, or on the basis of our legitimate interests, for example when using service providers, web hosts, and similar partners.

If we commission third parties to process data on the basis of a so-called data processing agreement, this is done in accordance with Article 28 GDPR.

Data Transfer to Third Countries
Except for the applications mentioned above, no data is transferred to countries outside the European Union, nor is such a transfer planned.

Rights of Data Subjects

You have the right to:

  • request information about the data stored about you
  • request correction and completion of your stored data
  • request deletion of data that is no longer required
  • request restriction of the processing of your data
  • withdraw consent you have previously given with effect for the future
  • object to the future processing of data concerning you, in particular processing for direct marketing purposes
  • request data portability
  • file a complaint with a supervisory authority
Provision of Contractual Services

If inventory data, such as names, addresses, and user contact details, is processed, this is done to fulfill our contractual obligations and provide our services in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Deletion of Data

The data processed by us will be deleted or restricted in its processing in accordance with Articles 17 and 18 GDPR. Unless expressly stated otherwise in this Privacy Policy, the data stored by us will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its intended purpose and no statutory retention obligations prevent its deletion. If the data is not deleted because it is required for other legally permissible purposes, its processing will be restricted. This means that the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes. This applies, for example, to data that must be retained for commercial or tax law reasons.

Contacting Us

When you contact us by email, the information you provide is processed to handle and respond to your inquiry in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
User information may be stored in a customer relationship management system, or CRM system, or in a comparable inquiry management system.
We delete inquiries when they are no longer required. We review the necessity of storing inquiries every two years. Inquiries from customers who have a customer account are stored permanently, and we refer to the customer account information for deletion. In cases where statutory archiving obligations apply, deletion takes place after these obligations have expired, namely after the end of the commercial law retention period of six years and the tax law retention period of ten years.

 Email Inquiries

You may contact us using the email address provided on our website. If you send us an email, we collect, store, and process the following information:

  • first and last name
  • email address
  • contact details included in your signature
  • the content of your message
  • attached file

Processing takes place only to the extent necessary to handle your inquiry and communicate with you, in accordance with Article 6(1), sentence 1, point (f) GDPR.
The collected data is used solely for the purpose of handling your request. The data is stored only until we have fully responded to your request to your satisfaction, the matter has been concluded, and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

Collection of Access Data and Log Files

On the basis of our legitimate interests within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, we collect data about every access to the server on which this service is hosted. These are known as server log files. Access data includes the name of the accessed website, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL, meaning the previously visited page, IP address, and the requesting provider.
For security reasons, for example to investigate misuse or fraud, log file information is stored for a maximum of seven days and then deleted. Data whose further retention is required for evidentiary purposes is exempt from deletion until the respective incident has been finally clarified.

Integration of Third-Party Services and Content

Within our online offering, and on the basis of our interests, meaning our interest in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our online offering, we use content or service offerings from third-party providers in order to integrate their content and services, such as videos or fonts. These are collectively referred to as “content” below. This always requires the third-party providers of such content to receive the IP address of users, because without the IP address they would not be able to send the content to the users’ browsers. The IP address is therefore required for displaying this content. We make every effort to use only content whose respective providers use the IP address solely for delivering the content. Third-party providers may also use so-called pixel tags, invisible graphics also referred to as web beacons, for statistical or marketing purposes. These pixel tags can be used to analyze information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information may also be stored in cookies on users’ devices and may include, among other things, technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, visit times, and other information about the use of our online offering. This information may also be combined with information from other sources.
The following overview lists third-party providers and their content, together with links to their privacy policies, which provide further information on data processing and, in some cases, opt-in or objection options already mentioned here.

We use Google Maps on this website. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to use the map function conveniently.
When you visit the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the data listed under “Access Data and Log Files” is transmitted. This takes place regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not want this information to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses it for advertising, market research, and/or the needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular, even for users who are not logged in, to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of such user profiles. To exercise this right, you must contact Google. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the provider’s privacy policies.

Use of Cookies

Cookies are pieces of information that are transferred by our web server or third-party web servers to users’ web browsers and stored there for later retrieval. Cookies may be small files or other forms of information storage.
Users are informed about the use of cookies in connection with pseudonymous audience measurement within this Privacy Policy.
If you do not want cookies to be stored on your computer, please disable the corresponding option in your browser’s system settings.
Most browsers are set to accept cookies automatically. However, you have the option to restrict the use of cookies through your browser settings. Because cookies enable you to use some of the features of our websites, AFT recommends that you do not disable them, as necessary website functions may otherwise be impaired.

Instructions for deleting cookies in the most common browsers can be found here:

You can object to the use of cookies used for audience measurement and advertising purposes via the opt-out page of the Network Advertising Initiative at(https://thenai.org/how-to-opt-out/) as well as via the U.S. website (https://optout.aboutads.info/) oder die europäische Webseite (https://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices.

Supervisory Authority
In accordance with Article 77 GDPR, you may file a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of personal data concerning you violates the GDPR or the German Federal Data Protection Act.
